Louisville is the market where placement matters most. Shotgun houses in Germantown and the Highlands sit close together with narrow driveways and alley access, while the East End and Jeffersontown have room to spare. The container that’s easy in Middletown can be the wrong choice off Bardstown Road.
Tell us the street and what the approach looks like when you call. It’s a two-minute conversation that saves a wasted trip.

Renovation work drives a lot of the rentals here. Older homes in Clifton, Crescent Hill and the Original Highlands produce plaster, lath and dense old framing — heavy material that fills the weight limit before it fills the box. A 15 or 20 yard is usually the honest answer, even when the project feels bigger than that.
The suburban side of the county is a different job. Jeffersontown, Fern Creek, Okolona and Valley Station have driveways that take a 30 yard without blocking anything, and those projects are more often whole-house cleanouts, basement clear-outs and deck removals.
Alley placement is common in the older neighborhoods and works fine, but alleys get narrow and cars park in them. If that’s your plan, mention it up front.
What most Louisville rentals are for.

Cleaning out a house, clearing a garage, or finally dealing with the pile behind the shed. We'll get a dumpster to your driveway and haul it off when you're finished.

New builds, demo work and everyday jobsite debris. Delivered where you need it, picked up when the container's full.

Sized for shingle weight, set close to the house, gone when the roof is finished.

Renovations, turnovers, cleanouts and ongoing projects for commercial property.
Four steps, no surprises
Renting a dumpster shouldn’t take a week of phone calls. Here’s the whole process, start to finish.
Often yes, with the right size. A 10 or 15 yard fits places a 20 won't. Send a photo of the driveway and we'll tell you before you book.
If the container sits in the public right-of-way you'll likely need a permit from the city. Check with Louisville Metro before delivery — it's quick, but it isn't automatic.
Yes, and it's common in the older neighborhoods. Just let us know so we send the right truck and plan the approach.
A single room cleanout usually fits in a 10 yard. A full house cleanout or a big remodel is normally a 20 or 30 yard. Roofing tear-offs are heavy, so they're usually a 10 or 15 yard even when the pile looks small. If you're between sizes, call and describe the job.
Standard rentals run about a week. If your project runs long, let us know before the pickup date and we'll work out extra days.
Plan on roughly 60 feet of straight clearance for the truck plus the container, and about 23 feet of overhead room. A driveway or a level spot on the property usually works fine.
