15 to 30 yard
Scheduled around your turnover date
Coordinated with property access
Landlords and property managers usually aren’t working around a leisurely timeline — a unit needs to be ready before the next lease starts, and that means the cleanout has to happen fast. Whatever’s left behind, from furniture to years of accumulated junk, needs somewhere to go the same day it comes out.
Most single-unit turnovers fit a 15 or 20 yard. Whole-building cleanouts, multi-unit evictions, or properties with a lot of bulky furniture usually call for a 30 yard so you’re not swapping containers mid-turnover.
Four steps, no surprises
Renting a dumpster shouldn’t take a week of phone calls. Here’s the whole process, start to finish.
Plan on roughly 60 feet of straight clearance for the truck plus the container, and about 23 feet of overhead room. A driveway or a level spot on the property usually works fine.
Not on your own driveway or property. If the container has to sit on a public street, most cities require a right-of-way permit — check with yours before delivery.
